Computer help.
Whether you're looking at a new computer, dealing with a slow one, or trying to decide whether to repair or replace, JGusew Computers can help you understand the options and make a sensible decision — without the upsell.
What we help with
- New computer advice — when every store says something different, we help you understand what suits your actual needs: which specs matter, what's overkill, and what's likely poor value. Refurbished vs new, Windows vs Mac, laptop vs desktop — compared honestly.
- Slow computer assessment — if your computer is slow, the answer isn't always "buy a new one." We help work out whether the problem is a full drive, a startup overload, malware, failing hardware, or something that a simple cleanup would fix.
- Repair vs replace decision — sometimes the real question isn't "can this be fixed?" but "is it worth fixing?" We help weigh age, likely repair cost, replacement cost, and the risk of more problems down the track.
How it works
You describe the situation in plain English — what the computer is doing (or not doing), how old it is, what you use it for, and roughly what you'd like to spend. We reply with questions if we need more detail, then come back with a clear assessment and a recommended next step.
Everything is done by email. We do not access your computer remotely, we do not ask for your password, and we do not ask you to install anything.
Honest expectations
There are some things this service is not set up for:
- We do not do physical repairs or part replacements
- We cannot guarantee a specific computer will be in stock or at a quoted price
- We cannot guarantee data can be recovered from a failing drive
- We are not an emergency or same-day support service
- We do not offer ongoing technical support contracts
If a situation needs a hands-on repairer or specialist, we'll tell you that clearly and suggest where to look.
Describe what you're dealing with and we'll work out the best next step — no jargon, no pressure.
